I'm just a photographer.

Well, lately, I’m just Elise trying to figure out who I am without the title, but I had “Write Catchy Headline” on my to-do list this morning. 😈

Identity is something I’ve been internally fixated on as of late.

At the beginning of my career I’d introduce myself while at networking events or meeting new people with friends, as simply a “photographer.” The amount of people that would respond with, “Is that what you do full time?” or my personal fav, “Is that all that you do?” was unexpected and always left me silenced. ←

Of course this was their way of gauging just how “much” of a photographer I am in an industry that’s become heavily saturated.
